Short Bread

Serves: 2 to (4)
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
120g (225g) plain flour
70g (125g) caster sugar
30g (50g) corn flour
90g (175g) soft butter
Vanilla essence to taste

MAGIMIX 4200:
Serves: 6
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
365g plain flour
185g caster sugar
90g corn flour
315g soft butter
Vanilla essence to taste

MAGIMIX 5200:
Serves: 8
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
750g plain flour
400g caster sugar
200g corn flour
700g soft butter
Vanilla essence to taste

Method (every model of Magimix Food Processor):
  1. Fit double-bladed knife to your Magimix food processor.
  2. Put all ingredients into bowl.
  3. Process for 10 to 15 seconds until mixture forms a dough ball.
  4. Press dough into a greased 180mm x 250mm (7" x 10") swiss roll tin.
  5. Prick surface with fork.
  6. Pre-heat oven to 160 deg C (gas mark 2/3)
  7. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until pale golden in colour.
  8. Cut shortbread into fingers.
  9. Allow to cool slightly in tin.
  10. Remove to cool completely on wire rack.
