600g (1kg) potatoes
2 (4) garlic cloves
25g (40g) butter
2 tbsp (3 tbsp) oil
4 (6) sprigs parsley
salt and pepper to taste

1½kg potatoes
6 garlic cloves
60g butter
5 tbsp oil
9 sprigs parsley
salt and pepper to taste

2kg potatoes
8 garlic cloves
80g butter
6 tbsp oil
12 sprigs parsley
salt and pepper to taste

Method (all models):
  1. Peel, rinse and dry potatoes.
  2. Peel garlic.
  3. Wash and dry parsley.
  4. Put garlic and parsley into mini bowl, with metal blade.
  5. Pulse 4 times.
  6. Grate potatoes using 2mm grating disc.
  7. Put grated potatoes in a large bowl with the chopped garlic, parsley, salt and pepper.
  8. Mix thoroughly.
  9. Heat half the oil and butter in a frying pan.
  10. Tip in grated potato, press down to form a cake.
  11. Cook over a moderate heat for 15 minutes until golden brown.
  12. Turn out onto a plate.
  13. Heat the rest of the oil and butter.
  14. Slide the cake into the pan on the uncooked side.
  15. Fry for a further15 minutes.
Delicious with roast chicken or beef rib.
