Bacon and Onion Buns

Serves: 2 to (4)
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Rising Time: 2½ hours
Baking Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
Bread
75g (150g) diced bacon
1 (1½) onions
1 egg yolk

200g diced bacon
2 onions
2 egg yolks

Baking Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
Bread
300g diced bacon
3 onions
2 egg yolks

Method (all Magimix Food Processor models):
  1. Make dough following the Bread recipe.
  2. After dough has been allowed to rise for 2 hours, peel onion and slice using the 2mm disc.
  3. Brown onion slices in a frying pan and add bacon.
  4. Divide dough into equal pieces.
  5. Spread out flat and scatter with bacon and fried onion.
  6. Roll into bun shapes.
  7. Brush with beaten egg yolk.
  8. Preheat oven to 210 deg C (gas mark 6/7)
  9. Bake for 30 minutes.
  10. Leave to cool.
